The Murcia University Veterinary Hospital, open since 1999, collects the practical teaching of the students of the Veterinary Faculty of Murcia. It has two large units: Horses and Small animals.
The Equine Unit has medicine, surgery and reproduction services.
The small animal unit offers internal medicine, reproduction and obstetrics, cardiorespiratory, ophthalmology, dermatology, anesthesia, surgery, clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, emergencies and hospitalization
The clinical ethology service at the University of Murcia Veterinary Hospital is headed by María Cascales Martínez. It is focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of behavior problems in cats and dogs.
