In fact there are only two types of Siamese cat: the modern Siamese cat and the so-called Thai, the ancient type from which the current Siamese come from. A common physical characteristic of Siamese cats is the spectacular bright blue color of their eyes.
Other relevant characteristics in Siamese cats are how clean they are and how affectionate they show to be with the people around them. They are even tremendously patient and proactive with children.
I have enjoyed the company of several Siamese cats in my life and I remember my daughters dressing the poor cat in dresses and doll hats and walking him lying on his back in a pram toy. Sometimes they were also transported sitting in the tipper of a large plastic truck, from which they pulled a rope, walking the cats up and down the aisle. With other breeds of cat, in my house I have not seen so much rapport with children or so much affection towards them.
Color types of Siamese cats
Currently Siamese cats are differentiated by their color, since their morphology is very similar. Their body is slender, with an elegant appearance and elastic at the same time, despite having a well-defined muscular build that makes them very agile.
The colors of his coat can range from cream white to dark brownish gray, but always with a very particular peculiarity on his face, ears, legs and tail, which makes them very different from other feline breeds. In the aforementioned body areas, their body temperature is lower, and in Siamese cats the hair of these parts is much darker, almost black or clearly black, which together with the characteristic blue of their eyes clearly defines and differentiates them from other breeds..

Siamese cats light
- Lilac point, is the light gray Siamese cat. It is a very common beautiful tone, but it must be taken into account that Siamese cats darken their hue with age.
- Cream point, is the one with cream or light orange fur. Cream or ivory color is more common than orange. Many puppies are very white at birth, but in just three months they change their color.
- Chocolate point, is the light brown Siamese.
Dark Siamese cats
- Seal point, is the dark brown Siamese cat.
- Blue point, this is the name given to Siamese cats with dark gray fur.
- Red point, are the dark orange Siamese cats. It is an unusual color among Siamese.
Variants of the standard colors
There are two more types of variations among Siamese cats:
- Taby point. This is how Siamese cats that have a tabby drawing are called, but based on the colors mentioned above.
- Tortie point. This is the name given to Siamese cats with reddish spots, which leads to this coloration being called 'tortoise scale'.
