Masks, ties and socks

Light colors
The light colors of the Afghan hound are:
- Pale Cream. It is a very pale cream/yellowish color.
- White. Pure whites practically do not exist. Off-white and grayish white are considered white.
- Albino. Extremely rare (and undesirable) are albino Afghans, which are snowy white. As with all albino animals, it can suffer from eye and hearing problems.
The eyes are usually amber, except in albinos, which are a disturbing shade of pink.
Mixed Colors
